Greg McElroy, Jr., born 10 May 1988 is the starting quarterback for the
Alabama Crimson Tide
football. During his
high school career he won several
awards including being named an
EA Sports All-American and win a
Texas 5A state championship for
Southlake Carroll.
McElroy had full scholarship offers from several Division I football schools, will eventually commit to Texas Tech. McElroy played the part of a game vs. Western Carolina, threw his first collegiate touchdown pass in the third quarter to tight end Nick Walker.
McElroy played impressively and was expected to be QB for the 2009 season. McElroy got his first conference start in an SEC matchup against Arkansas, 26 September. McElroy graduated from Alabama in three years with a degree in business marketing and is a doctoral student in his second year.
